Ontario College of Arts now OCAD. She graduated from Guelph University with an honours degree in fine arts.

Before politics: Before getting into politics nearly 30 years ago, Chow held a job working with Vietnamese refugees and Chinese immigrants at WoodGreen Community Services. She also taught several courses part time at George Brown College's Assaulted Women's and Children's Counsellor/Advocate Program.
Political stance: Only prominent left-wing candidate among the top contenders.

Before politics: Before being elected City Councillor, Karen spent seven years managing and delivering healthcare programs in both the public and private sectors.
Political Stance: Right wing

Education: He has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto, where he attended Trinity. He also has a law degree from Osgoode Hall at York University.
Most recently: He was the host of a radio talk show, Live Drive with John Tory, on NewsTalk 1010 at Astral Media. He was the host until February when he announced that his intention to run for mayor.
Before politics: In the early 1970s, Tory was a reporter and broadcaster for two Toronto radio stations, CFTR (now 680News) and CHFI.
Political Stance: He's seen as a Conservative with a heart. He says his first priority is tackling gridlock by building a downtown relief line.
Interesting Fact: Tory was named to Order of Ontario in 2012. He has been involved in various fundraising efforts for organizations such as United Way, Crimestoppers and Toronto Association for Community Living.
